Welcome to the home page of Science,Technology, Engineering, Math (S.T.E.M ) which is a part of the Early Childhood and Education department. Our website has recently been designed to better fit your needs and enhance your experience while at the University of West Georgia. STEM is a statewide campaign that has been made possible through the support of wonderful organizations such as Wal-Mart, Improving Teacher Quality Grant under ESEA Title II of No Child Left Behind, and Alice Huffard Richards Fund of the Community Foundation of West Georgia.
The proponents generally support broadening the study of engineering within each of the other subjects, and beginning engineering at younger grades, even elementary school. It also brings STEM education to all students rather than only the gifted programs.

STEM is an educational website launched as part of a larger initiative promoting science, technology, engineering, and math. The goal of this website is to help teachers, students, and anyone else in the community discover firsthand how their participation in certain course work can lead directly to exciting and rewarding careers. Through an assortment of compelling tools such as our technology kits, students learn that STEM applies directly to virtually any career field. From auto mechanics to aircraft engineers, forensic scientist to fire fighters, everyone in the work force is touched by STEM on a daily basis.
Upcoming Workshops:
